What's on your mind lately?
I'm currently talking a lot with my colleague Franz Himpsl. Over the past few months, we have written the book "Wie KI dein Leben besser macht" (How AI makes your life better) together, which is being published these days. That's why I'm shamelessly using this question to refer to Franz and the book. For example, Franz wrote the prompt that we used to interview us about the book – by the machine. I think it turned out quite funny.
What's one fact about AI that everyone should know?
I'm not entirely sure if it counts as an AI fact, but I think that for all the admiration for the results that machines can produce, one thing should not be forgotten: Often the processes are just as valuable as the products that end up being created. The specifically human aspect is often only created through the journey. Perhaps the journey is even more important than the destination itself. I like to compare this to jigsaw puzzles. Of course I can have a puzzle solved with the help of AI. But is that also fun? Perhaps it's about more than just producing results.
What's a good hobby to pick up?
Be like Ole. Start running. You can learn a lot about the idea of process focus when you are involved in endurance sports. If you can read German, I recommend my book "Minutenmarathon".
